Each tree style features unlit and pre-lit options in a variety of heights and widths. Most pre-lit trees feature a step-on pedal to turn lights on and off, while some specialty trees are controlled with a remote control. Below we discuss more about tree features and lighting information.
Tree Style Information
Green Trees
Find your perfect Pine, Fir or Spruce in beautiful shades of green. Needle types can vary and affect item price.
– PVC needles are soft and flexible and lowest price
– PE needles are injection molds that most resemble natural evergreens, these are more expensive
– PVC/ PE Mix needle trees provide the realistic look of the injection mold tip with the inner branches filled in with PVC
Flocked Trees
Some of our most popular styles are our snow covered flocked trees. Flocking can be heavy to replicate a recent snowy downfall or feature only a light dust of flocking.
Flocking is generally applied to PVC trees which is less costly, with some higher end flock trees using PE/ PVC mix needles.
Iced Trees
Iced Trees are created with light frost finish. The Iced Aspen shown here is adorned with a light mix of glitter as well that provides magical holiday sparkle when lit up.
Specialty Trees
Designer’s Excellence features many unique takes on the traditional Christmas tree. Metallic and holiday color tinsel trees, Black trees, White trees, and many other creative tree variations to make Christmas new and exciting.

Tree Sizes
The Designer’s Excellence Christmas Tree collection features a wide range of tree sizes to fit every space. Tree widths vary from full to slim to pencil. Slim and pencil tree styles are noted in the description. Our tree family collections generally range from 4.5ft to 15ft with unlit varieties and various lighting options. We also have specialty trees that range from 8″ and up as part of our line. Every size and style is available during our Christmas prebook selling season in December/ January of each year. Tip: As tree heights go up so do the tree widths. A 15ft tree can be as large as 9ft at the base! Make sure tree dimensions are right for your space.

WeatherLit LED Warm White, Multicolor and Clear/ Multicolor
Weather Lit LED are Warm White heavy duty, all weather, large reflection optimal LED with double filament effect.

Stay-Light Premium Lighting System
Direct Export is the semi-exclusive home of the Stay-lit premium lighting systems. Stay-lit ® strands feature patented microchip technology. A chip in every socket guarantees that trees will stay lit if bulbs are burnt out, broken, loose, or even missing. Available in Clear and some styles with available with Multicolor lights.

Twinkle LED Lights
Twinkle lights pulse off and on slowly and gently, creating an elegant display that looks amazing. Light settings include Clear and Multicolor settings. Lights are shatterproof, non-removable 5MM caps. If one light goes out, the rest stay lit,

Starlite LED Lights
Create a magical holiday atmosphere with these versatile color-changing lights, transition from warm clear to a vibrant, festive multi-color display with the press of a button. Bright diode lit strands are energy efficient and never need new bulbs.

G40 Globe Lights
Generally added as a secondary string to compliment a clear or multicolor mix of lights on select trees. The number of bulbs is noted on the item. Colors are Clear, Frosted White, Multicolor, Frosted Multicolor and Red.

Instant Connect ® power technology
Instant Connect ® technology uses the Christmas tree center pole to power the lighting system and eliminates the need for plug nests. Simply assemble the tree by inserting the sections of the tree together and plug the single drop cord into your plug strip to light. Voila! Your tree is ready to decorate!
